Worm Gear Box TW IEC B5 Flange Type TGPL make

• The “TW Series” from TGPL is a line of worm-gear gearboxes — i.e. a worm (screw) drives a worm-wheel (gear), producing high torque at lower output speeds. 

• “IEC B5 Flange Type” refers to the mounting / input-side configuration: it uses standard IEC-flange (B5) for mounting the motor / driving shaft. This allows easy mounting of standard electric motors as per IEC norms. 

• TGPL gearboxes are offered in a range of frame sizes — e.g. TW30, TW40, TW50, TW63, TW75, TW90, TW110, TW130, TW150. 

🔧 Construction & Materials

• For smaller sizes (frame 30 to 90) the housing is die-cast aluminium alloy; for larger (110 to 150) it's cast iron. 

• The worm shaft is made of case-hardened steel (20Cr), heat treated — resulting in a hardness of ~56–62 HRC. 

• The worm-wheel (gear) is made of a bronze alloy (stannum bronze), designed for wear resistance and durability under load.
